Carolyn Eaton aka Valentine Sally

Listen Now:

On February 14th, 1982, the body of a young woman was found on the side of the highway in northern Arizona. Due to the state her body was found in they were not able to immediately identify her. So, for almost 40 years, 17 year old Carolyn Eaton was known as Valentine Sally. Finally in 2021, thanks to a lot of dedicated individuals and advancements in DNA technology, Valentine Sally got her name. But the case remains unsolved.

Carolyn was last seen at the Monte Carlo Truck Stop diner on or around February 2nd, 1982. She was wearing a maroon and white striped sweater and seasons brand jeans. She was with an unidentified white male, possibly in his 50s or 60s. He was wearing a cowboy hat with a peacock feather and a brown leather vest. The pair was just over an hour from the grand canyon, if you visited the park in jan/feb 1982, please check your photos for Carolyn and a male matching this description in the background.

Anyone with information about Carolyn’s case is urged to contact the Coconino County Sheriff’s office at 928-774-4523.
